Alexander has called the Dunnellon/Ocala area home for most of his life and truly enjoys that small town feel that is so prevalent in the community. As the eldest child of a pastor and nurse, the call to service of those in need has always been something that Alexander has felt and takes the charge to do whatever he can to make a difference in his community around him. Alexander attended the College of Central Florida in Ocala, the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, and Saint Leo University in Dade City, where he attained his Associates of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, and Master of Business Administration respectively expecting to subsequently go into the legal field however that changed. Alexander entered the world of student housing, living in multiple states in supporting the student-living communities. His goal was to in continue to create the best viable options for college campuses and the students who called these colleges home, however Alexander has always been very close to his great grandmother, and in supporting her care needs, he learned that he had a very special calling to supporting seniors during their next adventure in life and decided to make that transition to a career in senior living.
Alexander started his senior living career at a small senior living community in his hometown as an administrator. He learned that while people are different, they all have very similar needs and one of them is to be heard and understood at this place in their lives. Eventually, he went to work with another senior living provider in one of the most senior-centered communities in the world, The Villages, Florida as a Sales Director and finally an Executive Director. In such as large community, having the ability to focus on supporting seniors through proper planning was life changing, allowing Alexander to help people create effective plans for when the day came that they needed more help than could be realistically handled in the home. After holding various positions with that company, Alexander stretched himself into a different role supporting seniors at home for their care needs and has since returned to the senior living industry.
Alexander is very excited to join the Watercrest Senior Living team as the Executive Director of Market Street East Lake as his true passion is working with seniors who are going through the journey of Alzheimer’s' disease and other memory-related disorders. He truly believes that the right community can create an atmosphere that even with memory loss, seniors are able to thrive.
Alexander has two sons, Alexander Jr. (AJ) and Jaxon who are 19 months and 6 months old respectively. He enjoys traveling, watching Alabama football (Roll Tide!) and spending as much time with his loved ones as possible. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Family Organization since 2018 and currently holds the position of secretary. In his free time, He also enjoys reading about any new emerging technology in the field of electric vehicles or any books written by John Grisham.
