Manuel Navarro’s culinary career started at an early age helping his dad at his job, cutting vegetables and prepping food. At the age of 14, he got his first job as a dishwasher in a Chinese restaurant. At that time, his parents enrolled him into a Vocational High School
where he attended their culinary program. After completing high school, Manny went to the InterAmerican University Culinary Program and graduated with honors. He went on to further his studies at the Disney Culinary Academy in Florida, where every six months he experienced a different background of cuisines. Manny’s career began in the hotel industry, where he learned the keys to hospitality. He worked his way up to Executive Chef, and then
to the front of the house as Food and Beverage Director.

Manny joined Watercrest in 2015 as Executive Chef of Watercrest Lake Nona which ignited
a new love for the culinary industry, finding a purpose in what he does. After 24 years of professional experience; a wonderful wife Sandra, kids Samantha, Jazmin and Eric, and finding a company like Watercrest, where “To Welcome, To Care, To Serve” is the way of doing things, Manny can truly say “I’ve been blessed by God”.
